Striga attacks the root structures of staple crops. Even if farmers try to weed striga, the host crop is already damaged. 

Farmers grow and plant FOXYT14 (Kichawi Kill) with the seeds of the staple crop. 

By the end of the growing season, crop yield increases by 42-56%. This could potentially provide 3 months more of food.

Farmers can sell the surplus crop for additional income. 

Families are able to use their new income to pay school fees, provide medical care, and improve their lives.
